Helping You Connect the Testaments, for Life!

For over 40 years, we’ve empowered Christians to think and live more like Jesus through a deeper understanding of Scripture and Kingdom calling. Thank you for being part of our story.

A Vision That Still Inspires

Dwight A. Pryor founded The Center for Judaic-Christian Studies with a simple but profound conviction: Coming to know Jesus in his historical and cultural context helps us be more faithful to him in our own.

From that seed grew a discipleship movement dedicated to rediscovering Scripture through the eyes of Israel’s Messiah that’s impacted thousands around the world.

Hebraic roots of Christianity

1984-1989

The Foundation Years

The early years were marked by energy, curiosity, and a strong sense of community. National “Foundations of the Faith” conferences drew believers hungry to understand the Hebrew roots of their faith. Scholars from the Jerusalem School for Synoptic Research brought fresh insight into Scripture.

With Dwight’s encouragement, Dr. Marvin Wilson wrote
Our Father Abraham, a groundbreaking book that continues to shape Jewish-Christian understanding today. What began as a simple vision soon became a movement centered on rediscovering Jesus in his Jewish world, and learning to follow Him more faithfully in ours.

1989-2011

The Growth Years

As JC Studies grew, so did Dwight’s influence. Despite battling rheumatoid arthritis, Dwight’s passion for the Word was contagious and his voice became known around the world for its clarity, depth, and pastoral heart. He poured himself into teaching, creating more than fifty in-depth audio seminars that explored the Bible through its original Hebraic lens. He also developed video curricula used by churches and study groups everywhere, and led Haverim Schools of Discipleship—small, transformational gatherings of believers eager to study Scripture together in community.

Through it all, Dwight’s message remained consistent: the language, culture, and worldview of ancient Israel are not distant relics of faith, but living keys to understanding the heart of God and walking more faithfully as disciples of Messiah Jesus.

Since 2011

Continuing the Mission

When Dwight passed over in 2011, the mission didn’t end—it deepened. With James C. Whitman now at the helm, we remain devoted to the same heartbeat: connecting the Testaments for life. We continue to preserve and share Dwight’s timeless teaching so that new generations can encounter his depth and clarity. We promote fresh biblical scholarship that bridges the Testaments with insight and relevance.

James is reaching disciples young and old with his uniquely pastoral gift making fresh connections that lead to faith and good works rooted in the unchanging character of the God of the Bible.
The tools may look different today—digital platforms, online courses, streaming resources—but the mission remains the same: helping believers around the world think and live more like Jesus.
